I just learned that one of my favorite Christian authorities has been diagnosed with Cancer. Zola Levitt has lung cancer that has spread to his liver and brain. I am deply saddened by this news. My wife and I hoped to one day go on a tour of Israel with Zola.
Lung cancer is a very nasty disease. My family burried my grandfather just two and a half years ago after a painful fight with lung cancer. It tends to grow quickly. Barring a miracle, Zola is likely to be called home within just a few months.
I, for one, will be praying for Zola. I know he is strong, and I know that only good will come of this. He will either be miraculously healed, or he will have the honor of going home to the Lord.
