For the July 2008 episode of Echo Zoe Radio, I am joined by Eric Douma to discuss the Emerging Church. Eric is a seminary student who first encountered the Emerging Church in his studies with an Emergent professor in his Systematic Theology class. He has since become a local expert in the Emergent Church; speaking at churches in the Twin Cities Metro are on the subject, and occasionally appearing on local radio to discuss the Emergent.
Just to note, while discussing Tony Campolo, I mentioned that he had undergone a heresy trial. I couldn't remember where I came across it, but have since remembered that it was at The Evangelical Outpost, it is also mentioned on Tony Campolo's Wikipedia page.

Listening to Eric Douma on TV discussing the 70 week prophecy of Daniel-9, noticed he used extra text not found in the Bible to make his point. This concerned “annointing the most holy”, Eric adding “place” to distinguish error since he concludes place is a thing, the error to him then is believing the most holy as Christ. Christ is the holiest of holy Messiah and through His saving grace the scattered remnant of the elect are gathered into new covenant and eternal Israel. Annointing is acceptance of their Messiah Christ, much as the woman in tears annointed Christ.
The second was apparent confusion about the ruler-chief he instead calls ‘prince’ found in this prohpecy, actually ruler more accurate as Satan released becomes ruler, here Eric considers only the natural at exclusion of the supernatural or spiritual, both valid and described in this prophecy.
In full context of Daniel-9 70-week prophecy, having both natural and future event/s, the division obvious indicating a place of breaking between the 69-weeks and the last-week. The last week ties together full meaning of the entire 70-week prophecy, having both past and future interpretation. The break is temporarily away from the people-Israel for the time of fulfillment of the Gentile, at fulfillment of the Gentile the last-week fulfills the time of the chosen people-Israel.

Are you sure it was Eric? I don’t recall talking to Eric about Daniel 9. It seems much more likely that you are referring to Ryan Habbena.
And I am sure you didn’t mean TV because these aren’t video podcasts.
That page you linked to would cost me 49 sheets of paper to print. That’s a bit much to get a discussion going, if that was your intent. However, I should note that I’m not particularly interested in beginning a debate on these issues. As I skimmed it, it appears that you attempt to refute just about every orthodox doctrine on eschatology there is, without much more than a verse or two to attempt to support each of your claims. I’m sorry, but I’m not so easily swayed. I have a much deeper understanding of scripture than that, and I surround myself with people with a much deeper understanding of scripture than that.
Thre is a reference to Eric being a seminary student. At which seminary is he currently a student?

Eric has graduated. He started out at Bethel Seminary, but left over the Emergent issue. He finished at Northwestern in Roseville, MN.
Sorry to get back and reply so late, will take your word it was a Ryan rather than Eric speaking and in which I found reason to believe having interpretation error’s.
Yes, my study article is rather lengthy, also with similar need of scripture and verse as necessary, but no I have no need or want to argue. I will note however as most scholars I’ve communicated with having similar reply as yours, a blank statement of disagreement w/o a single reference in which they found error and could give needed correction.
Perhaps I could get your agreement that indeed in Rev-20 it is clear there are actually two Thousands (Millennium in Catholic Latin-Vulgate only), and both end at the very same time when Satan is released. Also this ‘Thousand’ Greek-word ‘Chilioi’ is used only eight times in the N.T., extensively six times in Rev-20, and in the Epistles for a ‘day like a Thousand years’.
And if this is true, does this signify not a time scale considering most numbers as this in Rev are symbolic, but instead events themselves clearly described within Rev-20?
You have noted correctly I find much teaching error today, a motivating reason that I place my articles before Christians to weigh against Gods word, rather than imagination of many teacher and prophet today. I encourage (in prayer) that Christians read my web-linked article.
Example of false teaching is the Rapture also not found in the Bible, in the Bible described as the coming of the Lord to gather (the saints) yet living. A Rapture (to gather) if this is the teaching would include two-rapture, not to exclude Satan and those that belong to him. Salvation is a gift during life that is the goal of our faith, not a non-existent rapture. Adding to the Bible is not an authority given to man.
