Yesterday the Evangelical Outpost had a great post listing several quotes by Michael Moore. It’s a fairly quick read, and worth it. This guy is such an ignoramus, I don’t understand how anyone could take him seriously. Well, correction, I have a wacky uncle that probably takes him seriously. I can’t see how anyone [...]

25 minutes to drive 4 miles!!! Between a train that PARKED over several intersections and a city engineering department that couldn’t time a stoplight if their lives depended on it, my limited repsect for this town is waning. Traffic is one thing. Granite City traffic is quite another.

Canada’s law that prohibits speaking aout against homosexuality seems to be coming to America. The article linked here describes liability insurance being offered to churches who fear being sued based on the new law. I have little doubt that the day is coming when the church will have to go underground. Our First Amendment right [...]

I got a new address for my blog yesterday. The new address is:
http://www.echozoe.com/
The old address will work for a while though.
The old address was set up as part of a personal website. When I started the blog, I never intended it to become as public as it is now. I hadn’t planned on getting links [...]

DO IT NOW
Agree with thine adversary quickly. - Matthew 5:25
Jesus Christ is laying down this principle - Do what you know you
must do, now, and do it quickly; if you do not, the inevitable

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. - Matthew 5:30
Jesus did not say that everyone must cut off the right hand, [...]

From who knows where (I found it via The Flannel Avenger):
OLD VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he’s a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and [...]

This weekend I met my girlfriend at her parents’ place to do some water skiing. She and her brother love to barefoot ski. I had never skied before at all, and thought I’d give it a shot. While summer hasn’t really arrived in Minnesota yet, the temps have been consistently in the 60’s & 70’s, [...]

I don’t remember how I found this (it was on someone’s blog, but I don’t remember who’s), but this is an interesting article about taboos entitled What You Can’t Say. It seems to me to be written objectively enough that I couldn’t tell what the author’s political idealogy is. I suspected about half-way through reading [...]

last night I got slammed by comment spam. Mt-Blacklist caught 20 of them and prevented them from being posted. Only one got through. It’s gone now though. If anyone reads the comments here and wanted to know where to go to play online poker, I’m sorry, the link is gone now.
Overall, I’m very happy with [...]
